Manufacturing Engineer
for a 12-month
contract
based in Derby
on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planets vital power needs. What youll be doing: Technical: Understanding of industrial coating processes ideally in an aerospaceenvironment with knowledge of one or more of the following desirable: Grinding, EDM, platinum plating, plasma spray, robotic processes, conventional machining 7 single crystal casting Technical: Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve themanufacturing processes and / or methods of your aligned product to ensure capability to meet and continue to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time Product Definition: Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve thecurrent and future capability of manufacturing processes and identification ofimprovement opportunities. Collaboration: Proactively accesses internal and external networks of technicalcommunities and functional teams, quality, design and project engineering, to ensure fulfilment and realisation of the product intent Problem Solving: Support the investigation and resolution of product and suppliertechnical problems with the application and use of appropriate tools Delivery & Lean Focused : Develop robust, safe and Lean method of manufacture into the production environment. Support production technical issues to ensure on time delivery of the PI trials, EDP set and PPAP Delivery. What were looking for: Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other nationalequivalent, higher degree preferred). Communication and stakeholder management skills with a strong positive attitude and willingness to learn. Technical experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably coating ofTurbine products. Experience in APQP, PPAP and Method Change control in a manufacturing environment. An understanding of process improvement tools, preferably Green belt qualified orhigher. Working knowledge of key Manufacturing Engineering processes and tools andpreferably use and application of ARIS Quality System or SABRe (Supplier Management System Requirements).
