Job Description:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to focus on the External Supply Chain within Rolls Royce Submarines. This role involves developing manufacturing processes, supporting supplier assessments, and ensuring continuous improvement in manufacturing methods for nuclear propulsion components.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assessing manufacturing supplier capabilities and supporting source selection.
2. Governing manufacturing activities to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
3. Applying knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA to influence product design and manufacturing.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and building strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications include:

1. Degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
2. Experience in manufacturing or process engineering, especially with fabrications, valves, or complex assemblies.
3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
4. Knowledge of lean and six sigma techniques.
