Overview Role: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Derby Salary: Up to 50000 Hours: Monday to Thursday starting between 7am and 8am and finishing between 4pm and 5pm. Fridays finish at 12:00 midday. Contracted hours: 39 per week Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 7.5% pension, x4 salary death in service. Responsibilities
Manage projects for the customer from enquiry and quotations to writing manufacturing methods/SOPs and delivery to the customer. Create manufacturing route cards to determine the best methods to manufacture, liaising with internal departments and managing external resources required for the project. Work in a first-class precision engineering environment with processes such as machining, fabrication and outsourced processes. Read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation.
Qualifications
Qualified to HNC level (desirable). Knowledge of processes such as machining and/or fabrication (desirable). Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills (desirable). Competence in Office, particularly Excel, Word and Project (desirable). Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (desirable). Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation (desirable). Capable of working unsupervised and using own initiative (desirable). Good eye for detail with a methodical approach to the task in hand (desirable).
Commutable from: Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Long Eaton, Sandiacre and surrounding areas.
