The Job you will do:
* Analyse and report on manufacturing processes, identify value-added and non-value-added activities utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
* Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilisation studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis.
* Coordinate maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operational and report on availability of machines.
* Propose development and maintenance of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
* Document tooling processes, modifications and specifications for future reference.
* Identify opportunities for preventing waste during production.
* Optimize facility layouts.
* Conduct cost analyses and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
* Ensure that the organisation’s manufacturing processes comply with relevant policies and government laws and regulations
* Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain customer and internal quality standards.
* Train and educate manufacturing personnel on new processes and equipment.
* Be an advocate of the right first time quality principle
* Maintain the BOM and implement technical requirements.
* Lead new product implementation.
* Lead engineering change requests in a timely manner.
* Liaison with external parties as required (customers, suppliers, etc.).
* Carry out root cause analysis of issues, implement robust actions to prevent reoccurrence.
About you:
* Qualified to HNC level or relevant experience with equivalent qualifications.
* Experienced in problem solving techniques with strong analytical skills.
* Understanding of quality controls (FMEA, control plan, etc) and implementation/improvement of quality control systems.
* Systematic and logical approach.
* Ability in reading and understanding technical drawings, specifications and reports.
* Experience in conducting technical analysis of products and evaluating compliance and non-compliance against test specification
