We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join a small team of continuous improvement specialists for a manufacturing company in Newcastle. Your main focus will be to support the manufacturing engineering department to successfully implement and manage a bespoke manufacturing execution system, which collates and generates analysis information to drive continuous improvement.
This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, MS systems, process optimization, and demonstrable experience in Lean principles.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities will include;
Self-motivated and able to work independently. Identify and work to their own priorities. Be point of contact to resolve process issues on the shop floor regarding the data collection system Liaise with, and act as point of contact for the production department, regarding data collation and analysis, within the business - as a representative for Planning, Quality, Engineering, HSE etc. Support downtime investigation and root cause analyses. Lead and actively drive continuous improvement within the department, with regards to HSE, Quality and Productivity Responsible for ensuring all associated documentation is correct and available (Create and revise Procedures, Process and Quality records).
