An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Dorset to join this leading product development company.

Joining a growing and exciting R&D team, they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to undertake the full product design cycle across as well as existing product design across their advanced bespoke digital products.

Hybrid working available - 3/2 WFH split; you will need to be based locally.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the full product design cycle across new and existing products.
• Develop concepts and progress to detailed implementation, ensuring designs meet requirements.

Qualifications / Skills

• Qualified to a degree level in a related discipline
• Significant experience of the full design process from concept to manufacture
• Experienced in conceptual design and detailed implementation
• Knowledge of working with sheet metal, plastic moulding, solid components and packaging (enclosure, cabinets etc)
• Relevant CAD package experience, SolidWorks desirable
