Position: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Gloucester Type of work: permanent Salary: £40000 to £55000 per annum We are now seeking to recruit a Mechanical Design engineer to work for a bespoke manufacturing company based in Gloucester. The role is to ensure that engineering drawings are produced in line with technical and commercial requirements. Job Description: To design, detail and develop equipment using Solid Works To produce proposal drawings for customers as part of the quotation process. Ensure all documentation is correctly updated, referenced and stored for easy reference. Strive for cost reductions and improved efficiencies within the process. To identify opportunities for process, productivity and quality improvements by highlighting issues to management. To ensure all documentation is updated, including schedules, manuals and spares lists. To strive for simplest design and quicker assembly methods, cost reductions and improved reliability. To have hands on involvement during trials and machine testing. Occasional worldwide travel to customers including weekend work & travel where required.
