Role information:

* Created detailed designs and specifications for mechanical systems using CAD software for nuclear applications. .* Develop and test prototypes to validate designs, ensuring compliance with nuclear safety standards. * Conduct technical research to inform design and engineering methods, focusing on nuclear-specific requirements. * Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring adherence to nuclear industry regulations. * Liaise with clients, designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence and quality, particularly in the context of nuclear safety. * Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals, ensuring compliance with nuclear regulatory standards. * Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine designs, focusing on nuclear-specific scenarios. * Stay abreast of advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices within the nuclear industry.

Qualifications/Experience Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within the nuclear industry. - Proficient with CAD software - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Exceptional time management and organisational skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Familiar with Nuclear industry standards and regulations - Experience with FEA

UK National Security Vetting Status - Candidates must already have active UKSV SC or DV Clearance.
