About the Role
A growing and innovative engineering company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a key role that supports product development, manufacturing, training, and quality compliance through the creation of high-quality CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks
Translate specifications and design concepts into technical drawings for manufacturing
Modify and revise existing models and drawings to support ongoing improvements
Collaborate with CNC Machining, Compliance, and Quality teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Generate documentation to support R&D, manufacturing, and certification processes
Conduct stress analysis and material behavior reports where required
Develop visual assets for training, support, and promotional materials
Participate in internal audits to maintain and improve CAD data quality
Candidate Profile
We're looking for a conscientious, proactive Mechanical Design Engineer who thrives both independently and within a cooperative technical team. The ideal candidate will bring experience, creativity, and a strong understanding of mechanical engineering and CAD design.
Essential Requirements
BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 2020 or later
Experience with 3D modelling and 2D drafting for manufacturing
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality standards
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Desirable Skills
Accreditation in SolidWorks
Experience with CNC Machining and 3D Printing
Familiarity with quality systems and auditing
Understanding of sustainable design practices
