They are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join their team in Newport on a permanent basis.ResponsibilitiesUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsProducing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirementsCommunicating directly with clients to determine requirementsLiaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsQualificationsDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Engineering or similarMinimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation positionExperienced working with metal, wood and extruded materialsPrevious experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environmentBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.Experience working with FEAHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary teamExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenProficient using MS OfficeExcellent organisational skills and time management skillsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible #J-18808-Ljbffr
