ROLE- Mechanical Design Engineer

LOCATION- Yeovil

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client specialises in fabrication for a range of industries, and they are looking to take on a Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Yeovil area.

The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations Any previous experience of working with process machinery or steel / metal materials would be desirable Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
