About the Company

As a Mechanical Design Engineer within the London office, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical and multi-disciplinary building services projects from design through to construction for medium to large scale, complex schemes across an array of industry sectors including Commercial, Residential, Hotels, Hospitality and Mixed-Use Developments.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of projects, ensuring high standards and compliance throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

• Act as the mechanical design engineer for multi-disciplinary engineering project teams.
• Coordinate mechanical services designs with other building services disciplines and external teams including architects and structural engineers.
• Facilitate the engineering concept design through to detailed design.
• Validation and high-level reviews of RIBA stage 3 – 4 designs.
• Ensure all design projects and reports are technically compliant and to a consistently high standard.
• Use initiative to work independently to meet objectives.
• Ensure all designs adhere to Company Health & Safety standards and CDM regulations.

Qualifications

• A recognised mechanical or building services engineering qualification to degree level.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in designing mechanical building services engineering design projects.
• Chartered Engineer (CIBSE or IMechE preferred) within chosen discipline preferred, or ongoing pursuit of CEng status and business qualifications.
• Familiarity with RIBA design stages, from Stage 1 through to tender design.
• Strong technical understanding of various MEPH systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables independently.
