Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer (Full-Time)

Your Role:
You'll be responsible for taking engineering concepts from initial design through to real world application. From creating innovative new solutions to upgrading and improving legacy systems already in the field, your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring product success.
You’ll work across the full lifecycle of projects, collaborating closely with colleagues in manufacturing, procurement, and project management. Whether it’s drafting technical specifications, performing structural analysis, selecting components, or validating performance through testing, you’ll be involved at every stage.
What You'll Be Doing:

Deliver robust, cost effective design solutions tailored to both customer and operational needs.

Take ownership of engineering queries and develop effective responses within project timelines.
*
Liaise cross functionally to ensure technical accuracy and seamless integration across teams.
*
Produce and review technical documentation, from CAD drawings and test procedures to certification reports and bill of materials.
*
Ensure full compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
*
Contribute as a technical checker for engineering documentation and product drawings.
*
Occasionally visit project sites or customer assets for hands-on insight and support.
What You Bring:
*
A solid background in mechanical design, ideally in high integrity environments such as marine, defence, or subsea systems.
*
Strong understanding of structural analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS) and the ability to apply FEA effectively.
*
Confidence working with DFA/DFM principles and manufacturing processes.
*
Experience with gas/fluid systems, pressure vessels, or similar systems is a plus.
*
Knowledge of industry standards like IMCA, Lloyd’s Register (LR), or DNV.
*
A methodical approach to documentation, checking, and validation.
*
Proficiency in PLM systems for managing engineering packages.
*
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
*
Existing British due to security clearance requirements
