OverviewWe are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Ellistown Factory in Ellistown, Coalville, LE67 1HY. The role involves providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and mechanical repairs to maintain production targets. The shift pattern is 5 on 5 off day and night, 12-hour shifts (5,5,4), with overtime available for those who would like to earn extra.ResponsibilitiesProviding plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and mechanical repairs to maintain production targets.Monitoring and supplying engineering support for machine set-up and changeovers to ensure products conform to quality standards and to keep changeovers efficient.Daily liaison with the Engineering Manager, Technical & Production Manager to ensure that all production maintenance requirements are undertaken.As a member of the Engineering team, promote the development and implementation of the Factory IMS and CMMS system.Design, fabrication and machining of parts and structures to service the needs of the business.Apply TPM tools and techniques to generate continuous improvement throughout all areas of the Factory.Apply the 5S principles to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping.QualificationsRecognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Advanced) and qualification.Completed an apprenticeship in Engineering (Dual Disciplined or Mechanical) as appropriate.Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship to Level 3 City and Guilds, NVQ, or Time Served/Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical), Engineering Manufacture (Mechanical), Mechatronics (Mechanical) or equivalent.Pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, gearboxes and industrial mechanical skills.Welding skills would be an advantage.High degree of Health & Safety awareness.Ability to fault-find, repair, and provide solutions to problems.Maintenance experience and fault diagnosis of Pneumatics and Hydraulics systems.Knowledge of Welding / Basic Fabrication.Computer literate in MS Word and Excel.Knowledge of basic continuous improvement tools and techniques.Good knowledge of current Health and Safety law and best practice application within a manufacturing environment.Additional informationPlease note, it is our policy to verify all relevant qualifications.
