with a strong focus on the southeast. In this role, youll be working with complex rotating machinery, high-performance turbines, and critical plant systems
ensuring they run at peak efficiency through expert maintenance, repair, and diagnostics. What Youll Be Doing Carrying out mechanical repairs and servicing on rotating equipment, including large turbines, pumps, and associated systems. Maintaining auxiliary and balance-of-plant equipment such as gearboxes, coolers, conveyors, and valves. Using precision measuring tools
micrometers, alignment tooling, and other diagnostic instruments
to ensure accuracy and reliability. Delivering both workshop-based and on-site service activities, producing detailed condition reports and professional recommendations. Communicating technical findings clearly to customers and colleagues, both in person and in writing. Diagnosing complex mechanical issues within heavy industrial environments. Performing planned maintenance, defect repairs, and major overhauls to manufacturer and regulatory standards. Supporting and leading on project work, installations, and shutdowns. Managing time effectively across diverse schedules and locations. What Youll Bring Recognised mechanical qualifications (ONC, HNC, NVQ, or equivalent). Demonstrated experience in fault finding, repair, installation, and commissioning. Strong communication and customer service skills. A proactive, self-motivated approach
comfortable working solo or as part of a close-knit team. Full UK driving licence (preferably clean). Ability to obtain necessary security clearances. Proven experience within the heavy engineering or industrial maintenance sectors. Desirable Skills & Attributes Background in the power generation sector, especially with prime movers and BOP systems. Hands-on experience with OEM pumps, turbines, or rotating equipment. Strong technical and analytical ability, including report writing and precision measuring. Good physical fitness and a practical, can-do mindset.
