Your Challenge: Step into the role of a Mechanical Innovation Engineer and become a cornerstone of engineering prowess at Power Test. Your adventure involves the design, qualification, and support of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies for high-performance applications in the world of engines and racing.
Base Of Operations: This role holds court at our Sussex, WI base, with openings for the occasional travel escapade.
Scope of Influence:
Enthusiastically engage in product development, from inception, through architecture, testing, and ongoing support. Coordinate and inspire cross-department teams to steer designs from basic spec towards groundbreaking solutions. Write, review, and optimize technical specs ensuring alignment with design goals. Ensure all designs comply with and outperform technical and customer benchmarks. Lead technical analysis and report creation to validate engineering hypotheses. Develop transformative solutions to enhance production reliability and performance. Create detailed documentation pivotal to ensuring delivery of superior products. Engage with supply chain stakeholders for essential component decisions. Refine and finetune systems according to customer requirements or performance needs. Pioneer configurations and adaptations on test equipment by employing innovative scripting and design changes.
Driving Continuous Excellence:
Pursue continual growth in product understanding, market pertinency, and product positioning. Participate in hands-on engineering debates to heighten operational understanding and proficiency. Observe adherence to Standard Operating Procedures within our dedicated teams. Orchestrate team projects with precision, maintaining superior on-time product releases.
Your Engineering Arsenal:
A strong Bachelor's Degree base. Astute Project Management expertise. Mastery of CAD Software. Command in Design for Assembly (DFA) and Mechanical Design & Engineering. Strong background in Mechanical Testing and innovative Product Design. Proficient use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Toolbox of Technology:
Experienced with Diesel engines. Adept at 3D Modeling, particularly with Solidworks. Solidworks CAD Software proficiency.
