OverviewMechanical Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Tilehurst, ReadingAre you a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong electrical aptitude looking for a rewarding role with excellent earning potential and opportunities for growth?We are seeking a highly competent and reliable Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Tilehurst, Reading. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems within a range of commercial properties. A bias towards electrical work is highly desirable.ResponsibilitiesWhat You\'ll Do:Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of mechanical systems and equipment, including:HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)Pumps, compressors, and other fluid handling systemsDomestic hot water systemsBasic electrical work (fault finding, minor repairs)Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and (basic) electrical problemsCarry out repairs and installations of mechanical components and systemsEnsure compliance with safety regulations and industry standardsMaintain accurate records of work performed and materials usedWork independently and as part of a teamQualificationsA proven track record as a mechanical maintenance engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experienceA strong understanding of health and safety regulationsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsA City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems (desirable)Experience with basic electrical work (desirable)BenefitsCompetitive salary of £40,000 per year37-hour work week, Monday to Friday25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidaysExcellent opportunities for training and progressionOn-call rota (1 in 4) available for additional earningsContinuous training and development opportunitiesRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
