Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Youll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of CNC and specialist production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability. Key duties include: Providing hands-on mechanical maintenance to CNC and plant equipment.
Fault-finding and repairing gearboxes, bearings, pumps, shafts, tanks, and drive chains .
Carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance across multiple production lines.
Assisting with major refurbishments and improvement projects.
PLC fault-finding and interrogation (Fanuc & Siemens).
Working collaboratively with production teams to prioritise and resolve issues quickly.
Adhering to strict Health & Safety and compliance standards at all times.
What Youll Need
HNC / NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
Strong background in CNC machinery fault-finding and repair .
Working knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens control systems .
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
A flexible attitude
must be open to working across multiple sites in Leicester when required.
