This includes design of mechanical system schematics, engineering change requests and other design definition documents and calculations. Key areas of activity: Contribute to mechanical elements of the design of the River Class Destroyer Power and Propulsion systems. Including: Propulsion Motors Diesel Generators Gas Turbine Propulsion Gearbox Shaftline Steering gear and Stabilisers Provide support to the team in order to assess technical compliance, integration and review of design documentation for the ship's propulsion motors procurement pack. Implement change to P&P systems away from baseline ship design, assessing impacts on equipment, systems and spatial design. Support P&P compartment owners in the Zonal Maturity programme.
