ALTEN Ltd is seeking an experienced
Mechanical Systems Installation Engineer
to support high-profile aerospace programmes within the UK. This role will place you at the centre of
systems installation design and integration , working on complex platforms that demand innovative solutions. You will be responsible for delivering
detailed design , ensuring compliance with safety and certification requirements, and coordinating across multiple engineering functions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next generation of advanced aircraft. Location:

No current restrictions Key Responsibilities Deliver detailed
Mechanical Systems Installation (MSI) design
for hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, and electrical systems across aerospace wing programmes. Provide
technical leadership
and act as a point of authority for installation design activities. Serve as a
Design Signatory , ensuring compliance with design, safety, and certification standards. Lead
system integration activities , ensuring that structures, systems, and components are correctly aligned and meet programme requirements. Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external partners to achieve integrated design solutions. Ensure manufacturing readiness by aligning design outputs with production and assembly requirements. Manage design changes, modifications, and concession activities to maintain delivery and technical compliance. Qualifications
Experience, Skills and Qualifications needed: Qualifications and Experience Degree in
Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field . Extensive experience in
aerospace systems installation design and integration . Proven ability to work on
major OEM aircraft programmes
and deliver to industry standards. Experience as a
Design Signatory
or equivalent authority in mechanical or systems installations. Strong understanding of
aircraft systems
(hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, electrical, and related domains). Background in managing
multi-disciplinary teams
and coordinating with global partners or suppliers. Key Skills Strong
leadership and communication
skills with the ability to influence stakeholders. Excellent
problem-solving and integration
capability. Effective at making sound technical decisions under pressure. Proficiency with
CAD/PLM tools
(e.g., CATIA, DMU, or equivalent). Ability to balance technical, certification, and manufacturing requirements Additional Information
