OverviewMobile Multi-Skilled Engineer (Elec or HVAC) - Northeast England | Location: Darlington/Felling area (UK)Role: Mobile Engineer (Electrical or HVAC bias). Full-time position with CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, covering sites across the Northeast of England between Darlington and Felling.ResponsibilitiesTravel to sites across the advertised locations; Full UK driving license required.Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with SFG 20 on all mechanical and electrical plant as per site task schedules and asset lists.Perform reactive and breakdown tasks, proactively identifying areas for improvement, including concessionary stores and fabric-related items.Rectify plant faults and defects to maintain plant in serviceable order.Ensure availability of suitable spares; provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.Complete relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works and pass promptly to the contract administrator.Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.Develop a good working relationship with CBRE staff, subcontractors and client representatives.Provide a Safe and Healthy working environment; wear uniform and PPE at all times.Maintain a professional image of CBRE Managed Services.Keep up-to-date shift logs; ensure plant rooms are locked, clean and tidy.Supervise and monitor subcontractors on site during maintenance.Arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice; be flexible in working patterns; lone working where required after training.Ensure tasks are actioned and completed with appropriate health and safety implementation.Maintain awareness and compliance with contractual KPIs/SLA.Operate and keep up-to-date the Computer Based Maintenance system (SI LOCAL); close out PPM and reactive tickets with accurate data.Operate a Permit to Work System in line with CBRE QHS procedures and client requirements.Provide holiday and emergency cover as required, potentially at sites not normally covered.Undertake any other tasks as directed by the account management team.EducationA good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English.Basic Mathematics skills.CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant field.SkillsCommitted to excellent customer service.Calm under pressure; able to work to tight deadlines.Able to make sound decisions when needed.Physically fit to carry tools and components up to 20 kg.Able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment and work at heights.Team player; able to work with CBRE Managed Services and Alstom representatives at all levels.Good PC skills.KnowledgeGood all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostics, repair procedures, and maintenance schedules.Formally trained in electrical/mechanical maintenance.BMS knowledge.Mechanical and commissioning experience.Recognised Health and Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH).Knowledge of UPS, generators, HV, PDUs, CRAC units or equivalent; ability to fault-find using graphical information and current alarm data.Understand demarcation between maintainable assets and BPL maintained assets within laboratory and production environments.ExperienceMechanical maintenance skills.Experience maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to defined criteria.Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures.Working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.CircumstancesWilling to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns.Must have full UK driving license. #J-18808-Ljbffr
