We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities and equipment.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a versatile Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services. Candidates should have a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, electrical and mechanical skills, and a passion for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving equipment performance.
- Conduct fault-finding on all types of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
- Write and follow risk assessments and method statements to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use mobile devices to project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system.
- Liaise with onsite services to manage building services-related issues.
- Deputise for the shift leader during leave or sickness.
- Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.
Requirements:
- Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Electrical competencies to at least City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, with 17th Edition qualifications.
- Mechanical competencies to a standard equivalent to City and Guilds Mechanical qualifications.
- Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
- Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems.
- NVQ qualifications to Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
- Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements.
Desirable:
- Working at height qualification.
- IPAF certification.
- AP qualifications.
- Experience in heavy engineering.
