Role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical Bias)

Location: Murton, York

Salary: £50,000a + on call allowance & OT

Hours: Monday - Friday Days

On-Call Cover: 1 week in 3 (rotational basis)

Platinum Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading animal feed manufacturer based in Murton, York. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team.

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of production equipment & machinery

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns

Diagnosing & repairing mechanical & electrical faults

Working with PLCs, motors, gearboxes, conveyors & other automated systems

Supporting the installation & commissioning of new machinery

Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations at all times

Keeping accurate maintenance records & logs

Participating in continuous improvement projects & fault analysis

Providing on-call support as part of a rota (1 in 3 weeks)Skills Required?

Time-served apprenticeship / relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND)

Strong mechanical & electrical maintenance experience

Proven experience in a manufacturing or process environment

Ability to read engineering drawings & schematics

Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills

Experience with automated systems or PLCs is a bonus
