Zest are working closely with a highly reputable and food manufacturer to find a hands-on, mechanically focused Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. Working across a diverse range of machinery, you'll play a key role in keeping the production lines running smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability.

What You'll Be Doing * Carrying out reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement projects with a focus on mechanical systems (including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment). * Ensuring all work meets statutory requirements and internal engineering standards. * Communicating effectively at shift handovers to maintain continuity of technical issues and enable informed decision-making. * Updating the engineering maintenance system with accurate job details, equipment history, and spare parts usage. * Supporting control, automation, and electrical systems when needed, but with a mechanical bias. * Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance. * Supporting and developing your own skills while assisting with training and mentoring colleagues.
