Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you\'ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and engineering support to ensure optimal plant performance and uptime.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical expertise, effective problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to keeping machinery and facilities operating at their best.BenefitsCompetitive salary with overtime opportunities12-hour day shifts on a consistent rolling rotaExcellent training and career development opportunitiesCompany pension scheme and additional benefitsExposure to state-of-the-art equipment in a modern production environmentA workplace that values sustainability, safety, and continuous improvementKey ResponsibilitiesPerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on production machinery.Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.Support production teams to maintain equipment performance and achieve operational targets.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.Accurately record all completed work, root causes, and spare parts usage within the CMMS system.Review contractor RAMS and manage permits to work where required.Maintain a clean, organised, and safe maintenance workspace.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a world-class manufacturing approach.Essential RequirementsApprentice-trained multiskilled engineer with City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.Proven experience in planned maintenance, fault finding, and reactive repairs.Strong knowledge of HMIs, PLCs/DCS/SCADA systems for fault diagnostics.Familiarity with instrument calibrations and CMMS systems.Experience within the food manufacturing industry working with hygienic equipment.Excellent understanding of health & safety and food safety compliance.17th/18th Edition Electrical qualificationHNC/HND in a relevant engineering disciplineIOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safety certification (desirable)CompEx EX01 to EX06 certifications (desirable)Experience managing contractors and overseeing engineering projectsWhy Join Us?This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a skilled, supportive, and innovative engineering team where your expertise truly makes an impact.
