Network Engineer - Contract

London (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

£550 per day (Inside IR35)

6-month initial contract, with strong chance of extension

Active SC Clearance required

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a high-profile project on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge Cisco technologies while helping to deliver secure, resilient, and modern network solutions.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex network issues and ensure they are resolved efficiently.
• Support the rollout and optimisation of Cisco Software-Defined Access.
• Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure and application teams.
• Contribute to the design of reliable and secure enterprise solutions.
• Provide clear documentation and knowledge sharing; mentor and support colleagues where required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in network engineering, ideally five or more years with a focus on Cisco platforms.
• Proven exposure to Software-Defined Access.
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking protocols.
• Working knowledge of network security principles.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as Python or Ansible is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP or higher will be an advantage.
• SC Cleared (Active) is required.
