What You’ll Do
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance our enterprise-level network infrastructure. You will work closely with the Network Architect and support them. You will play a key role in implementing changes, ensuring network security, and optimising performance and ensuring business continuity for the platform. This is a diverse role across the entire network stack. The role is hybrid and predominantly desk-based, but at times you will be required to do hands-on work for projects, such as racking / de-racking kit, replacing end-of-life hardware, or running the occasional fibre patch.

Qualifications/Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in network engineering.
- Network qualifications; expired Cisco qualifications are acceptable.
- Proven expertise with Cisco networking equipment and technologies. A Cisco certification or equivalent experience preferred (non-active qualifications are acceptable).
- Experience with firewall change management and rule implementation.
Desirable
- Experience with Cisco FMC, FTD, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Familiarity with NAC solutions for access control.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools.
- Exposure to other vendors such as Palo Alto or Mellanox.
- Knowledge of automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
- Experience with cloud networking, particularly AWS.
Skills
- Working knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of switching technologies (VLANS, STP, Port Channels).
