Network Engineer - long-term project based work

£60,000 - £75,000+ benefits - hybrid working (3 days WFH each week)

The Network Engineer will join a growing team supporting Cisco infrastructure for a global customer base. The Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation and support of network infrastructure and components within OnPrem / Datacentres ensuring optimum network uptime.

The role joins the Network Operations team on a large-scale project, focusing on Cisco routers, switches, LBs, firewalls, Security Groups, TGW, etc with scope for upskilling in IaC and Cloud technologies.

The Network Engineer would support and operate Enterprise level / Carrier Grade Networks for a blue-chip customer, providing service integrations for network requirements, data flows, VPC endpoints and BGP peering and provide test, support and configuration for Cisco network devices, Firewalls, Switches, Load Balancers.

The company offices are central London with hybrid working options – 3 days WFH each week with flex to choose which days you are in the office.

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of proven work-related experience in configuration of OSPF, BGP, Layer7 switching, VPNs and related protocols
  • Strong understanding of configuration protocols with OSPF and BGP
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP
  • Cisco certified - CCNP or similar

All candidates must be UK based and eligible for Security clearance
