Picture kicking off your day by leading a crucial system migration project, guaranteeing seamless setup of PCS7 components. You'll address demanding tasks like configuring and maintaining server-client architectures while working alongside a team of elite engineers. Your efforts will not only improve our industrial network infrastructures but also play a key role in our mission of promoting energy transformation and sustainability.How You’ll Make an ImpactMigrate legacy PCS7 systems to updated versions or platforms, ensuring seamless transitions.Configure PCS7 components including AS, OS, ES, and Batch systems to meet project-specific requirements.Set up and maintain robust Server-Client architectures, incorporating redundancy and virtualization for efficient performance.Install and configure HMI software such as Siemens PCS7, WinCC, and Wonderware, ensuring secure and efficient operation.Implement detailed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) procedures to validate system functionality.Build and implement industrial Ethernet networks, optimising performance and reliability for our automation systems.What You BringA Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.Proven experience with Siemens PCS7 systems, ideally with a minimum of three years.Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols and architectures, coupled with experience in virtualisation platforms and Windows Server environments.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and a dedication to quality.Strong communication and teamwork abilities, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.The ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks, driving projects to successful completion.About the TeamYou will become part of the Controls Project Execution department at Siemens Energy, a team that excels in creativity and teamwork.
