Overview

We're seeking a Performance Modelling Engineer to take ownership of high-level system modelling at the concept stage for advanced power and propulsion systems. You'll be responsible for developing 0D models to support early design decisions and trade-offs - including efficiency, mass, and power output.

This is a fully onsite, hands-on technical role suited to someone who can work independently while engaging closely with multi-disciplinary teams. A background in thermodynamics, fluid systems, or power generation is ideal. Aerospace experience is welcome but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage system-level performance models for early-stage concepts Produce and maintain version-controlled performance decks aligned with design updates Analyse performance predictions and identify areas for system optimisation Inform system sizing and architecture decisions through modelling and trade studies Collaborate with engineering teams to create simplified models and support design reviews Provide data and insights to support both technical and commercial decision-making Work with customers to manage input data and communicate performance implications Generate pragmatic, first-principle models for early conc...
