About the role
In this role, you’ll support the delivery of complex infrastructure, defence, and energy programmes by developing and maintaining robust project schedules. Working within integrated project controls teams, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that plans are realistic, coordinated, and aligned with project objectives.
You’ll engage with delivery teams and stakeholders to translate scope into detailed schedules, track progress, manage interfaces, and provide timely analysis to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain logically linked and resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6 .
Lead schedule reviews and workshops with client and contractor teams.
Monitor progress, identify delays, and work with stakeholders to develop recovery strategies.
Conduct critical path , float , and what-if analyses.
Integrate schedules across multi-package or programme-level environments.
Support the implementation of Earned Value Management (EVM) and baseline control .
Advise on planning aspects of NEC or FIDIC contract administration.
Contribute to risk and change management processes.
Produce clear, tailored reporting for internal and client stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential).
Proven experience in planning within a consultancy or client-side project controls environment.
Familiarity with NEC contracts , project lifecycles, and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
Excellent communication skills—verbal, visual, and written—you can explain the why behind the what.
Ability to juggle multiple workstreams and maintain your sense of humour (essential, particularly on Fridays).
Nice to Have
Experience in sectors such as nuclear , transport , or defence .
Proficiency in tools like MS Project , Power BI , TILOS , or ScheduleReader .
Working knowledge of EVM , cost/schedule integration , or 4D planning .
Active or eligible for BPSS or SC clearance.
