Sensorzone’s primary product is an Intelligent Proximity Warning System that helps keep over 20,000 people safe on worksites around the world. With a renewed focus on ESG, global demand for safety equipment is surging, as demonstrated by opening our US office in 2024. We are now looking for ambitious individuals to come and join our engineering team for our next chapter of growth.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative and technically-minded individual to join our growing engineering team as a Platform AI Specialist. This is a unique, junior-level role for someone who is passionate about both technology and user experience. While full-stack development experience is a plus, it is not required. What's most important is a strong sense of aesthetics, an eagerness to learn, and a passion for leveraging AI to create better products and workflows.

Reporting to the Head of Platform, you will play a key role in defining the look, feel, and functionality of our SaaS platform. This is a highly collaborative position where you will work directly with our engineering, product, and customer teams.

What You'll Do

• UI/UX Design: Collaborate with the team to define the user interface and user experience of our SaaS platform.
• Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
• AI Integration: Act as an advocate for AI, identifying and implementing AI-powered solutions to improve our platform's functionality and our internal workflows.
• Aesthetic & Creativity: Contribute a strong creative eye to the design process, ensuring our platform is not only functional but also intuitive and visually appealing.
• Skill Development: Continuously learn and expand your skills in platform development, AI technologies, and full-stack concepts.

Who You Are

• You are technically literate and comfortable with concepts related to full-stack development, though you don't need to be a trained engineer; a background in STEM disciplines would be advantageous.
• You have an aesthetic and creative eye and are passionate about great design and user experience.
• You are a proactive problem-solver and are excited by the challenge of defining a new role and a new product direction.
• You are curious and adaptable, with a strong desire to learn about emerging AI technologies and their applications.
• You are an excellent communicator, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are near the start of your career (2+ years experience), or are looking to make a career change into a more technical field.

Skills & Experience

• Some demonstrated technical literacy.
• Familiarity with or an eagerness to learn about AI/machine learning concepts.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points

• Experience with a SaaS product or a startup environment.
• A portfolio showcasing design work or creative projects.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
