Overview Join our Shared Services department, a pivotal part of our organisation, where we deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing applications and platforms globally. As a Platform Engineer, you will be part of the Cloud and Infrastructure Platforms team within Technology and Service Delivery, focusing on automating resource provisioning and enhancing developer interactions to expedite application delivery. Responsibilities
Provide engineering capabilities to support the delivery of change aligned to business objectives, particularly in simplifying the provisioning, management, and decommissioning of application resources throughout their lifecycle. Contribute to shaping, planning, and executing projects both within the team and across the department. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance the services provided. Coach and support team members as necessary.
Essential Skills
Deep knowledge of Azure, especially when coupled with extensive experience in Terraform and the Cloud Adoption Framework. Experience with key automation tools including but not limited to Terraform, observability, and source control products. Experience in developing and maintaining developer self-service platforms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with other public clouds such as GCP and AWS is beneficial. Some exposure to FinOps patterns and practices. Technical certifications in relevant technologies are a plus but not essential.
