Location: Alderley Edge (1 to 2 days per week)

Intro: Fast growth SaaS company, at the forefront of their industry, is currently looking for a Platform Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining an internal developer platform (IDP), built on Azure to enable product engineering teams to deliver high-quality software quickly, securely, and at scale while focusing on customer-facing innovation rather than infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

  • Design & build the platform: Lead our Platform Team to design and deliver an enabling platform that makes high-performing engineering practices the easy default.
  • Automate and optimise: Build scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure, using Infrastructure as Code and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Champion best practices: Lead by example in driving engineering excellence, performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
  • Collaborate & enable: Partner with product teams to understand their needs and ensure the platform supports fast, safe delivery.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, observability, and scalability principles.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for enabling other engineers.
