We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of domestic and commercial plumbing and heating and be adept in various technical tasks related to gas installations and maintenance. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all work complies with industry standards and regulations.
*Duties:*
* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties.
* Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Perform routine maintenance on gas equipment, identifying potential issues before they escalate.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and installation tasks.
* Execute plumbing tasks as required, ensuring all connections are secure and leak-free.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
*Required skills:*
* Proven knowledge with experience in gas engineering or a related field.
* Proficiency in basic math's for calculations related to installations and repairs.
* Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and welding techniques is advantageous.
* Ability to plumb effectively, ensuring all systems operate smoothly.
* Experience in assembling various components as part of installation processes.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
* Ability to show initiative
* Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
* Competent in wet plumbing and heating reactive work
* Full UK driving license
* Good communication skills both verbal and written
* Knowledge of building codes regulations
* Proficiency with hand and power tools specific to the plumbing trade
* Working familiarity with plumbing materials and their appropriate use
