As an

Engineer for Power Door Access Mechatronics (Hardware) , you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of advanced electromechanical systems for vehicle door and access functions. This role involves managing the entire product lifecycle for door mechanisms and their electronic control systems, from initial concept to production.

The role requires delivering the commodity plan to quality, cost, and time, whilst leading the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across programs. Candidates should bring

8 10 years of experience .

Your Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of mechatronic power door systems, from concept to production. This includes defining the functional and physical architecture of the system. Direct the technical development and application strategy for door mechanisms, including latches, power door systems, and deployable handles. Responsible for Power Door Vehicle locking and access systems, driving technical design and delivery from concept to production launch. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, body structures) to ensure seamless system performance. Develop and validate control strategies for door operation using embedded systems and vehicle networks (CAN, LIN). Conduct DFMEA, DVP, and system-level testing to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. Support prototype builds, launch activities, and issue resolution during development and production phases. Interface with suppliers to manage component development and PPAP submissions. Your Profile

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Proven knowledge of automotive systems engineering for complex electro-mechanical systems and their electronic control models. Familiarity with automotive development tools such as CAD software (CATIA V5/V6), electrical test equipment, CAN/LIN bus networks, and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORs). Strong knowledge of automotive product development processes, such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics). Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive progress in a team environment. Desirable Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Working knowledge of JIRA; self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders. Experience supporting manufacturing/launch issues. Understanding and experience in Agile working mindsets, particularly Scrum methodology.
