We are seeking a Power Systems Studies Engineer focused on supporting onshore and offshore projects. These include local power generation, renewable energy systems (including BESS), and grid connections up to 220kV.
This is a hybrid position based in Leatherhead on a 12 months renewable contract that is outside IR35, with options for employed arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonic analysis, arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination.
- Perform equipment sizing and oversee third-party vendors conducting EMT studies.
- Use ETAP software for all power system simulations and analysis.
What we’re looking for
- Experience with power system studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, etc.).
- Knowledge of grid connections up to 220kV and BESS.
- Familiarity with arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination.
- Proficiency in ETAP and EMT software.
