We are seeking a Power Systems Studies Engineer focused on supporting onshore and offshore projects. These include local power generation, renewable energy systems (including BESS), and grid connections up to 220kV.

This is a hybrid position based in Leatherhead on a 12 months renewable contract that is outside IR35, with options for employed arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonic analysis, arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination.
  • Perform equipment sizing and oversee third-party vendors conducting EMT studies.
  • Use ETAP software for all power system simulations and analysis.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with power system studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, etc.).
  • Knowledge of grid connections up to 220kV and BESS.
  • Familiarity with arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination.
  • Proficiency in ETAP and EMT software.
