Power Systems Engineer – Solihull
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Power Systems Engineer to join a leading building services consultancy based in Solihull. This is a permanent, full-time role offering exposure to a wide range of innovative and technically challenging projects.
The Role
- Provide specialist power systems input across a variety of projects.
- Develop technical reports, specifications, and designs.
- Liaise with DNOs and contractors throughout project execution.
- Carry out network design from Low Voltage up to 132kV.
- Undertake load flow, fault level, protection, harmonic and arc flash studies.
- Support generation schemes including wind, solar, and standby power.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and commissioning support.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Power Systems Engineering (or related discipline).
- Proficiency with software such as ETAP, IPSA+, ERACS, Power Factory, or Amtech HV.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to learning and development.
- Experience with Revit would be an advantage but not essential.
