This specialist division delivers bespoke solutions across marine, defence, offshore, aerospace, and industrial sectors, combining the scale of a major energy group with the agility of a smaller business unit.

As a Power Systems Engineer you’ll work on cutting-edge projects ranging from naval propulsion systems to multi-MW industrial power systems, supporting the journey from concept through to commissioning.

The Role:

• Lead low and medium voltage power systems design up to multi-MW scale.
• Perform system studies (short circuit, load flow, protection coordination, harmonics, EMC).
• Specify and review equipment: generators, switchboards, transformers, converters, motors, cabling, storage.
• Use leading simulation tools
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and classification society standards.

Requirements:

• Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong background in power electronics, drives, and grid codes.
• Hands on experience with simulation/design software: MATLAB, ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD
• Experience delivering complex power systems projects, ideally in marine, offshore, defence, or industrial applications.
• UK Right to Work & eligible for UK Security Clearance
