Job Description
The Principal AI & ML Engineer will assume a pivotal role in constructing the foundational intelligence framework that underpins our client’s advanced marketing solutions. This position is essential for designing and executing state-of-the-art machine learning systems, particularly those that focus on large language models (LLMs) and real-time inference capabilities. The ideal candidate will lead the development of intelligent systems geared towards refining various marketing workflows, thereby amplifying the efficacy and performance of MarTech and AdTech platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement large language models (LLMs) and generative AI platforms customized for MarTech and AdTech functionalities, encompassing content generation, sentiment assessments, and campaign optimization strategies.
- Develop and optimize language models for context-sensitive applications, utilizing a mix of open-source and proprietary datasets.
- Design agentic systems through the application of multi-agent frameworks for sophisticated marketing operations.
- Set best practices for model deployment, ensuring productive A/B testing and real-time learning within production environments.
- Construct and oversee scalable infrastructures for model training and inference, using multi-GPU configurations.
- Establish and maintain efficient data pipelines that facilitate rapid testing and implementation of models.
- Contribute to LLMOps through active model monitoring, continuous evaluation, and deployment processes.
- Engage collaboratively with product management, data, and engineering teams to transition AI prototypes into large-scale production services.
- Quickly prototype innovative features based on cutting-edge research by converting academic insights into executable code.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in machine learning or AI roles, including a minimum of 2 years dedicated to working with large language models (LLMs).
- Expertise in Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP), particularly with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Hands-on experience in fine-tuning foundational models and deploying efficient inference pipelines.
- Proficient in utilizing tools provided by Hugging Face for training and optimizing large language models.
- Experience in deploying machine learning models within cloud environments, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Solid understanding of GPU optimization practices and distributed training techniques.
- Strong programming skills in Python, complemented by solid software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with agent-based architectures and semantic search technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly within dynamic cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: knowledge of marketing technology data pipelines and experience with real-time personalization platforms.
- Experience in startup or growth-stage environments is a significant advantage.
