Through these frameworks we’ll be delivering environmental improvements across the UK and informing strategic long-term planning.Watch this short clip to discover how Arup are shaping a better world and how you could be a part of it!The OpportunityThe role involves leading the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, such as pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities. You will be involved in undertaking concept, outline & detail design and construction support on various infrastructure and non-infra schemes while managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. The position ensures adherence to environmental, health and safety, and CDM regulations, supports the mentoring of junior engineers, and promotes knowledge sharing. Additionally, it contributes to innovation in sustainable design, climate resilience, and the adoption of digital engineering practices. We can offer the flexibility to work from our London or Midwest office locations.Is this role right for you?We're looking for the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:Qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or equivalent, or working towards.Demonstrable experience in the water sector.Familiarity with BIM would be desirable.Strong project management and communication skills.Desirable Experience working with UK water utilities (e.g., Thames Water, Welsh Water, Severn Trent).Ideally Knowledge of AMP cycles and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofwat).What we offer youAt Arup, we care about each member’s success, so we can grow together.
