The Opportunity
This role involves leading the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities. You will undertake concept, outline, and detailed design, as well as provide construction support on various infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes. The role requires managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. It also involves ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety, and CDM regulations, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting knowledge sharing. Additionally, you will contribute to innovation in sustainable design, climate resilience, and digital engineering practices.

Is this role right for you?
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:
- Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or equivalent, or working towards it.
- Demonstrable experience in the water sector.
- Familiarity with BIM is desirable.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Experience working with UK water utilities (e.g., Thames Water, Welsh Water, Severn Trent) is desirable.
- Knowledge of AMP cycles and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofwat) is a plus.
