They are looking for someone who will make a positive impact on the team.This office has a smaller team but are looking for someone who is motivated and ambitious to grow their role into supporting technical delivery.What’s on offer:A discretionary bonus (3-10% of gross salary) available to all26 days of annual leaveAnnual leave trading – up to five days per yearTwo days volunteering for each team member per yearPrivate medical insuranceHealth assessmentLife AssuranceIncome protectionCycle to work schemeFinancial planning consultationPayment of professional membership feesHigh quality on the job training and mentoringThe role:Taking technical ownership of the production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents produced by self, or coordinating and reviewing work produced by others.Independently using appropriate design / analysis software including CAD.Analyse technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions.Familiarity with design guides and standards.Knowledge of the designers’ responsibilities under CDM (2015);Following and contributing to Link Engineering procedures for completing work to the highest standard and adding value to the schemes we deliver.Identify and manage risks within your area of responsibility.Supporting other team members in their technical development.Attending site visits to review project constraints and the construction process.Leading and managing delivery of appropriate projects, liaising with clients and third parties.Capable of presenting and discussing technical solutions with technical and non-technical parties.Identifying and responding to project commercial risks and opportunities.Developing fee proposals and project cost estimates.Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients.Upholding and assisting with the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.Helping to promote the business and explore business development opportunitiesWhat you need to succeed:Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) [working towards CEng] with the Institution of Civil EngineersA degree or HND in Civil EngineeringLine management experience including undertaking of appraisals, identification of training and ensuring performance of junior team memberTeam management and resource coordination experienceExperience working with local authorities, developers and architects on civil engineering aspects of a range of schemesVaried experience working on schemes through the planning process; from pre-app through to condition dischargeCivil engineering project management experience including projects combining drainage, external works and highways elements #J-18808-Ljbffr
