Description Our client is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their Manchester team. This senior role offers the chance to lead complex building services projects across commercial, residential, and mission-critical sectors. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment, providing innovative and sustainable design solutions while developing strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the practice. Experience The ideal candidate will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality designs on complex projects. You will bring consultancy experience in building services, ideally across commercial, residential, and mission-critical sectors, and be confident in managing client-facing responsibilities. A solid understanding of modern design processes, including BIM methodologies and software such as Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux, and Relux, is essential. You should also have proven experience mentoring junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional development, while demonstrating strong communication and organisational skills. Job Responsibilities Lead the delivery of electrical design services for multidisciplinary projects

Develop strategic concepts and ensure compliance with project briefs and regulatory standards

Act as a primary client contact, attending meetings and translating requirements into deliverables

Monitor fee expenditure, project resources, and outputs alongside senior leadership

Mentor and support junior engineers, apprentices, and graduates to foster team growth

Ensure the technical accuracy and quality of all electrical design work

Contribute to business development and maintain strong professional networks
