We are looking to strengthen our engineering team with a Principal EICA Engineer. Hybrid working is available, with an expectation to attend sites regularly.

You will report directly to the RDL, and your role will be to provide superior quality engineering design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. You will coordinate the design and produce design documents and drawings, taking into account health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards relevant to the contract.

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Produce design layouts that are cost-effective, meet the specifications, and can be constructed and commissioned efficiently. "Cost" includes all costs associated with the design and construction, such as design time, materials, erection, and the impact on other disciplines.
2. Ensure standard practices are utilized wherever possible.
3. Provide estimates and feedback to the Proposals department.
4. Follow procedures and processes to support the department's development.
5. Assist in developing, monitoring, and reviewing procedures and processes.
6. Write, update, and monitor efficient procedures to ensure smooth departmental operations.
7. Coordinate designs with all internal and external disciplines to ensure integrated contract execution.
8. Maintain files and records throughout the contract duration.
9. Assure customer satisfaction, recognizing it as key to achieving objectives.
10. Assist in supervising and developing staff.
11. Help ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
12. Minimize waste from departmental activities.
13. Ensure designs consider environmental issues.
14. Ensure designs fully comply with health and safety requirements.
