What you’ll be\ndoing:
\n
Acting as Engineering Authority for\nyour prescribed area, covering all buildings and assets, providing\nindependent engineering governance and assurance across all assets\nwithin your\narea \n
Providing\ntechnical and specialist engineering advice & support to the\nmaintenance, operations & project\nteams \n
Producing /\napproving engineering functional requirements, accept design\nsolutions, maintain engineering oversight, validate engineering\nintegrity \n
Protecting\nand maintaining engineering baseline for all accepted assets and\ninfrastructure within your prescribed are, including configuration\nmanagement and change\ncontrol \n
Development,\nmanagement and control of planned maintenance schedules &\napproval of any maintenance\nconcessions \n
Providing\nEngineering governance and assurance for all projects within your\narea throughout the full lifecycle of the project, from\nrequirements capture to handover, including a role as Design Review\nChairperson \n
Providing\nan asset risk management capability and support a risk-based\ninvestment prioritisation and decision-making process for all asset\nrelated\ninvestments \n
Asset\nManagement delivery – development and maintenance of asset\nmanagement plans for key assets to ensure they can deliver the\ncurrent and future boat programme\nrequirements \n
Engineering\nadvice and support to equipment breakdowns and supporting / leading\nrecovery\nactivities \n
Your skills and\nexperiences:
\n
Essential
\n
Degree\nlevel qualified (in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline)\nor sufficient relevant experience to become a Chartered\nEngineer \n
Have\nexperience with Asset Management and Facilities\nManagement \n
Desirable
\n
Experience\nwith Management of Nuclear classified systems including but not\nlimited to Design, Operation and/or\nModifications \n
Experience\nin related industry such as; Nuclear, Oil and Gas\netc. \n

The Site Engineering\nteam:
\n
An exciting opportunity to join us as\na Principal Engineer, where you will be providing engineering\nassurance across the site within projects, process and operations.\nSite & Facilities Engineering are a dedicated Engineering team\nthat provides technical and engineering oversight, advice and\nleadership to site wide fixed asset to support the boat build\nprogramme by ensuring the facilities, infrastructure and assets are\navailable and performing when required. The team act as a\nverification function, ensuring that work is compliant with\nstatutory requirements, site license conditions and business\nprocesses. The team are supported by specialist engineering teams\nand other specialists throughout the business to support decision\nmaking.
