Overview

Self-motivated and ambitious Structural or Civil Engineer with 3 to 5 years’ post-graduate experience to work on building and civil engineering structures. Preferably Chartered, but near chartered is acceptable.

Experienced with common software such as TEDDS/TEKLA and AutoCAD/Revit. Good communicator and report writing skills. Self-motivated and ambitious. Driving Licence.

Role

Reporting to the MD you will lead on a wide range of projects encompassing structural investigations, professional appraisals and new builds encompassing structural, civil, geotechnical and coastal engineering. You would quickly take on Projects as Client lead at Associate level working with other construction professionals to deliver our works and services in a cooperative and collegiate manner.

We provide professional civil and structural engineering services within a multi-disciplinary building practice. Our works and services are employed by varied clients including Architects, Local Authorities, Prime Contractors and Property Developers throughout Cornwall and the UK. Current significant commissions include upgrade of 7 Fire Stations throughout Cornwall, School buildings, high value dwellings and assessment of a large student accommodation facility in Colchester.

Location

Working within the old Barclays Bank premises, central to St Agnes, Cornwall, but within 20 minutes of TRURO and close to some amazing coastal environments.

Compensation and Benefits

For You: Initial salary would be £60k to £80k subject to interview. Rapid promotion opportunity to Associate and subject to Annual Review, profit share and benefits in a growing practice. Working from Home with at least 2 working days in the Office and site-based activities to suit may be considered.
