Job Role: Principal Engineer Working Model: Full-Time - Remote (with occasional quarterly workshops/events) Salary: Up to £100,000

Proposition & Acquisition Value Stream , driving innovation across marketing websites, sales quote and buy systems, and key marketing technologies. You'll play a

senior strategic and architecture-focused role , supporting multiple squads and working alongside senior stakeholders to deliver complex, high-impact initiatives.

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience as a

Principal or Senior Engineer

with a strong

technical and architecture background

Less hands-on coding, more

strategic leadership and technical oversight

Extensive experience with

SaaS platforms

including Adobe CXP, Adobe CDP, Informatica MDM, and CIAM

Skilled in

cloud technologies

(Azure, GCP, or AWS), microservices, and API strategy

Strong understanding of modern development frameworks (Angular, React, Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Gosu) and architecture patterns

Proven experience in

technical strategy, solution design, and architectural governance

Expertise in

relationship management , building trust and influencing across squads, leadership teams, and external partners

Track record of

mentoring, enabling, and guiding engineering teams

rather than day-to-day coding

Knowledge of

secure development practices, data governance, and compliance frameworks

About the Role:

Join at a pivotal time as the Value Stream implements critical customer acquisition platforms

Support

multiple squads

as their senior,

strategy-focused technical leader

Provide

architectural oversight , shaping the technical roadmap and ensuring alignment with broader enterprise strategy

Manage

relationships across engineering, product, and architecture teams , influencing without direct authority

Drive

engineering quality, scalability, and SaaS platform excellence

across squads

Act as a mentor, challenger, and enabler - showing teams and stakeholders what good looks like

Take ownership of

SaaS platform management, technical risk, and architectural decision-making
