OverviewMy client has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Level Geo-Environmental Engineer for either their Milton Keynes or Swindon offices with great development and progression prospects versus a larger consultancy. They are a busy and friendly geo-environmental, geotechnical and site investigation company operating on varying size projects across the south of England, Wales and the Midlands for a range of clients from small to medium house builders to commercial businesses and mineral extraction, allowing staff to gather a breadth of knowledge in a short space of time.ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor a small team of EngineersTechnical lead in teamCarrying out Site Contamination Assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3Carrying out Site Investigation for geotechnical appraisal and combined investigations using all common techniquesScheduling contamination, waste classification and geotechnical laboratory testingDesign of remediation works and validationInterpretative geo-environmental report writingProject management and client liaison, including project cost controlCarry out infiltration testingGood HSEQ understandingFull clean driving licenseA thorough technical understanding of contaminated land legislation and consultancy would be requiredQualificationsDegree qualified in a relevant field; a related Masters Degree being advantageous; Chartership with a relevant body would be advantageousGood level of experience specialising in Ground Investigation, especially Geo-Environmental aspectsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate would be a solution-focused person with excellent communication skillsTraceable HSEQ and technical recordEffective project manager and highly competent manager and mentor to junior staff #J-18808-Ljbffr
