RSK LDE Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Wigan, UK. The company has a history dating to 2003 and a team of professional civil and structural engineers with extensive experience in the assessment, design, and construction of major development projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and to budget.
- Agree engineering strategies and ensure these are adhered to.
- Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278, etc.).
- Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
- Maintain effective communication with the design team and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Working knowledge of:
- Highway design and ground modelling.
- Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
- External works levels design, including Part M.
- Industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.
- Software package experience:
- Autocad
- PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar)
- Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar)
- Microsoft packages
- Ideally 5-10 years experience in a similar sector within Consultancy.
- Educated to degree or HNC level.
